B+W XS-PRO MRC UV 010M Filter
B+W XS-Pro filters employ a newly developed mounting ring that is especially suited for SLRs with wide angle and zoom lenses. The extremely thin design prevents the mounting ring from vignetting in even the widest shots.
B+W XS-Pro Digital Filters have front threads for mounting additional accessories such as filters, screw on shades and lens covers. XS-Pro filter ring are made of brass and are matt black to prevent reflections.
Ultraviolet light, which manifests itself in photographs as reduced clarity and the appearance of haze, is blocked by the UV 010. Ultraviolet light is invisible to the eye and is strong in mountainous and coastal areas with very clear air. This makes the colorless UV 010 an indispensable filter because it requires no exposure compensation.

SLIM B+W Circular Polarizer Filter
Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun. Filter factor is between 2.3 and 2.8 (approx. +1.3 stops). Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems without problems) and video cameras. It does not influence the metering systems of these cameras.
B&W slim filters come with Push On Filter Cap, and do not have a front thread. In most cases, "SLIM" filters permit exposures even with extreme wide-angle lenses with focal lengths as short as 17mm without vignetting caused by the filter mount.
