At half the price of a Canon 430exII it works just as well as the Canon model. Plus no LCD screen to draw more power and get confused, like the manual says, just attach it, turn it on and enjoy very good flash photography. PLUS it has a built in slave mode type function, which the Canon, Sunpak, Sigma and a bunch other flashes DO NOT have. This is great for the money and I'm looking to buy my 2nd unit. The only con is that I wish it rotated 180 degrees in either direction, and the bounce started at 30 degrees insted of 45 degrees like all other flash units. The rating will only let me pick 4 or 5 Stars, but I give it "4-1/2 Stars". This makes a great Beginner/Novice to a Semi-Pro flash to add to any ones photo gear.
